The European Union Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment ("RoHS") Directive (2002/95/EC), came in to effect on July 1, 2006. The RoHS directive prohibits the sale of electronic equipment containing certain hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls ("PBB") and polybrominated diphenylethers ("PBDE") in the European Union. Inspite of this exemption Pactrol has been proactive in negating any changes to the RoHS directive that would remove the above exemption and over 95% of our products are now RoHS compliant. |
